The Story
The original painting is 36 x 36 inches, oil on canvas, and was first shown at Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe, NM in 2016.
"This piece was inspired by Gustav Klimt's paintings with gold leaf. I wanted to paint something somehow realistic and romantic. The yellow aspen bringing so much poetry to the image. My buddy Chris Blasman is on the horse."
